Hi! I’m Dallas. I’m a writer, director, author & creative based in New York City.
After studying Critical Cultural Media Studies at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, I graduated in March 2020 (yikes). With no jobs in production available, I began working as an assistant to a vlogger and influencer. This set in motion the next five years of my life, over which I would eventually become the creative director of a multi-million dollar influencer led home renovation brand. Additionally, I developed web series for countless brands & creatives (including Bagels with the Boys for the Brownstone Boys who are now in development with HBO Max & Netflix), and assistant directed and co-wrote my first short film, Black Joy Is Magic (2020) in collaboration with YouTube’s Bear Witness Program alongside Jamila Jordan.
In 2023, I published my first book, I Belong Deeply to Myself, which debuted on the Amazon Best Seller & Best New Releases lists, and adapted my own poetry into my second short film, Real Self Care (2023).
Since leaving the influencer industry, I have developed a web series for comedian and playwright Nadia P. Manzoor, associate produced a short film with Omari K. Chancellor (of FX’s Love Story), and written, directed, executive produced and acted in my third short film, New To Town (2026).
I like to think my work reflects my personal nature as an informed optimist. I look at the way things are and try to make them better using fresh perspectives, compassion, and community.
My work aims to fold romanticism into everything I do, from commercial, to narrative, poetry, design, and everything in between.
